August 2022- Returning to school

This month many of you are gearing up for your child's return to school in September. With that excitement may also come some uncertainty about how you and your child will transition back into fall routines. Reestablishing bedtimes, developing morning regimens and preparing your child for a smooth daily transition out of the door can be overwhelming! Here are a few tips to help you reinforce desired behaviors and promote healthy socioemotional dialogue with your little one during those busy mornings.

This month I am giving you a brief introduction to social-emotional learning (SEL). Our monthly newsletters provide tools to increase children's emotional intelligence. Research shows that children with adaptive SEL skills exhibit increased academic achievement, adaptive behaviors and healthy life choices.
